Kathleen Gingeresky Benefit Event
As many of you already know, one of our St. Brigid’s parents was recently diagnosed with a rare form of Cancer called Sinonasal Undifferentiated Carcinoma (SNUC). Mrs. Gingeresky is the mom of Stephen who is in our 1st grade here at St. Brigid’s.
There is a fundraiser planned for October 18th at Savannah’s where they will be having a silent auction to help raise money. We would like to provide a gift basket to her family to auction off at her benefit. We are asking families to donate items to create this basket.
Pre-School through 3rd grade are asking to bring in items that center around a “spa” theme. This can include, lotions, shower gels, gift certificates and any items that relate to a “spa” theme.
Grade 4 through 8th we are asking for basket items that center around an “entertainment” theme. Items could include but are not limited to: movie passes, movie rental coupons, popular DVD’s, and movie snack items.
If anyone would like to make a cash donation, we will be shopping for additional items to add to the basket. Any amount you are able to give will be helpful.
Please bring in all items.and cash donations by Wednesday October 14th. If you have any questions please e-mail me at mrspanasci@gmail.com .
Thank you for your helping a member of our St.Brigid’s family during this difficult time. All donations will be greatly appreciated.

Medication Policy
In an effort to insure the correct administration of medication and to protect all children, we feel that a review of the district’s medication policy will be helpful. This policy applies to all prescription and over the counter medications.
School Personnel may administer medicine to school children when provided with the following:
The written request from the physician in which he indicates diagnosis, name of medication, the frequency and dosage of the prescribed medication. New request needed each school year.
The written request from the parent to administer the medication as specified by the doctor. New request needed each school year.
The medication should be delivered to the nurse by the parent or guardian. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD THE MEDICATION BE DELIVERED BY THE STUDENT.
The family must provide the medication in a pharmacy container that clearly indicates the DATE, NAME OF THE STUDENT, NAME OF PHYSICIAN, DOSAGE AND FREQUENCY.
If there are any questions, please contact the school nurse at the following numbers:
